An employee at a facility on Washington Avenue in White Plains reported to police on Tuesday, Oct. 23 that a resident was acting odd and was potentially off her medication. The employee indicated that the resident was acting dangerously and required police assistance.
Members of the North Castle Police Department responded to the Washington Avenue facility and assisted in transported the woman to the Westchester Medical Center for evaluation. An officer followed paramedics, and no further incident was reported.
Other items on the North Castle Police Department blotter from Friday, Oct. 19 through Thursday, Oct. 25 include:
- Members of the North Castle Police Department assisted with alleviating traffic on Virginia Avenue on Oct. 19, where there was a car fire near the White Plains Metro-North station, because onlookers were stopping to view the incident.
- Police intervention was required to mitigate a civil dispute on North Broadway on Oct. 19. A business owner was in possession of paperwork he owned certain equipment and was attempting to collect it. Officers responded to North Broadway and reported that the incident was cleared up without further incident.
- A woman on North Broadway flagged down an officer later that day after her car was allegedly struck by another in a parking lot before the second motorist drove away. Police investigated the complaint, and reported that there was minimal damage to the right front corner of the woman’s vehicle.
- Two dogs were transported by police to the North Castle Police Department animal kennel on Oct. 20 after a caller on Dellwood Farm Way found them. Police said that an officer responded and two dogs, both black and white Border Collies - who had collars but no tags - were transported to the kennel as they attempt to locate their family.
- Police are investigating complaints from a Carolyn Place resident who reported that her lawn has been damaged multiple times by cars, the latest happening overnight on Oct. 22. No suspects have been identified.
